We’re Getting Married!

Through the wonderful world of online dating, we found each other! We had our first date the night before New Year’s Eve in 2018 where we wined and dined. Clarissa had moved to SF recently and didn’t have any New Year’s Eve plans the next day, so we decided to see each other again. That night we met up with some of Stuart’s friends where we would celebrate our first New Year’s Eve together (I think we even snuck a New Year’s kiss). Clarissa knew there was something special about our connection and tells Stuart that our anniversary is the day we first met and not when Stuart finally worked up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. Through the pandemic we grew to realize that we wanted to give this thing a real shot and moved into our first apartment together. One day Clarissa came home to tell Stuart that she had signed them up for a waitlist to get a sheepadoodle puppy and a few months later Finely became the first member of our growing family. He gives us small moments of joy each day and we are excited for you all to be able to meet him! Life moved very quickly over the next year as we bought a house and got engaged within a few months of each other. The weekend of our engagement we were taking a trip to Big Sur, CA where Stuart had planned a romantic glamping trip for us. Finley had different plans for us as he always loves to be the center of attention. He ended up needing emergency surgery and all Stuart could think is “any other weekend Finely.” Thankfully Finely was alright and as we got back to the campsite Stuart proposed in slightly different fashion than he had expected to, but it was a beautiful moment none the less with a drugged-up puppy next to us in the middle of the red wood forest. We headed back home the next day, but knew in that moment we would be able to look back and laugh at just how disastrous our engagement story was. We can’t wait for what our future holds and are looking forward to celebrating our wedding with all of you!
