We met at the Young Adults ministry at Grace Church in June 2016. After one service in particular, we were all in a big group talking about the house warming party my roommates and I were throwing. Somehow we sort of invited him, but he didn't receive the official invite until he passed the background check we ran on him to go to youth camp. He then asked me to watch his new puppy while he was away at camp and also asked me to coffee, to which the response was, "Why?" A few months later when he asked again, the response was an excited yes.

Ashley Rivers messaged Clarissa asking if we would be able to model for Rivers Light Photography. After shutting all hopes of a proposal to Clarissa, she agreed to do the shoot. We get to to photoshoot location, we take cute pictures, all the while, she is completely unaware. Ashley and David separate us to do portrait shots. She is in front of a tree and I am behind the tree with David setting up the proposal area. Then David hands her a note from me and this is when it starts to hit her. Her dream proposal is happening. She turns around and there I am, looking handsome as ever, with a bouquet of flowers, a decorated fireplace with our pictures and a ring that signifies forever. She said yes! We then go to her parents home to celebrate but what's waiting is her closest friends and our families ready to celebrate our engagement. Proposal. Check. Engagement photoshoot. Check. Engagement party. Check. One stone.
