Once Upon A Time...

Caleb Joseph McLaughlin and Clarissa Janeen Rossman both took AP Statistics their senior year of high school. Though they were in the same class and even shared a group table for a while, they didn't start talking until the day before graduation. That would have been the end of their tale had a mutual friend not invited them both to her graduation party. The two talked the whole evening and Caleb invited Clarissa to play Dungeons and Dragons with him. Over the course of the summer, they fell in love and eventually began dating after Clarissa went off to college.

Clarissa and Caleb had long anticipated their engagement, but the proposal was an expertly crafted surprise. Unbeknownst to her, Caleb had made the 2-hour drive to Clarissa's school in secret with the help of her closest friends. Clarissa had an audition that evening and had gotten all dressed up. Her roommate suggested that afterward, they meet up with their friends for milkshakes. As they headed to meet their friends, Clarissa's roommate pointed out a figure at the end of a campus landmark known as Palm Drive (named for the palm trees that lined the street). As Clarissa peered into the dimly lit corner, she recognized Caleb--who was all done up in his own fancy clothing. He approached and proclaimed his love for her and asked for her hand. Meanwhile, the friends they had been meant to meet up with hid nearby with cameras to document. Clarissa accepted Caleb's proposal and they celebrated their engagement by finally getting shakes with their friends.

Caleb and Clarissa will join in holy matrimony on September 18th, 2021 at the stroke of 4:00 p.m. at Carlton Oaks Country Club. They can't wait to celebrate their marriage with all of their loved ones!
