Our Story
Clarissa and Blake met in April 2024 at a speed dating event. There were lots of open seats, but as fate would have it, Clarissa sat down next to Blake. If you ask her why she was initially drawn to him, she'd tell you his confidence, and something along the lines of, "he was the cutest one there". They chatted for a few minutes and Blake asked for her number. They dated long distance for a few months while Clarissa was living in Wisconsin, but that didn't stop Blake from making multiple trips to see her, both by train and by truck.
As Lucy (Clarissa's mom) said, "you two are like yin and yang!" They are very different on the outside, but the same soul inside.
Blake proposed near Eastern Market, the spot they had their first date. They will be married at St. Joseph's Shrine in Detroit which they have been attending for the last two years.
