During the first month of medical school, I chose to sit behind some goofy boys way back in the lecture hall. They were weird, but I found them absolutely hilarious. At the time, I had no idea how close we would all become over the next few years. In typical Peyton form, about a year into medical school, he surprised me by asking me on a date. After a disastrous first date and lots of prayers, Peyton and I finally figured out our path, and we've been growing as a couple ever since! This has been a busy year full of serving on mission trips, seeking adventures, balancing school and each other, and making big life plans. It's been challenging to juggle everything, but I can't wait to spend forever figuring it out with Peyton :) - C When I first met Clarice, I knew her as the girl who rolled her ankle during dodgeball on field day at the beginning of our first year of medical school, a.k.a. the graceful girl wearing the boot. She also happened to sit behind me during all of our lectures during the first two years of school, and I recognized her as the girl who laughed at all my jokes. As I settled into Jackson, I started looking around for a church I could call home, and by happenstance, she became the friend who welcomed me to sit next to her in the pew. Well of course I had to investigate a little further, and soon she was the girl that I wanted to ask on a date (albeit at first disastrous, but later redeemed thanks to her unwavering patience and confidence). When a tornado devasted my hometown, Amory, she revealed a gracious heart that traveled with me to relieve those who were strangers to her. When I presented her with the opportunity to travel with me for mission work, she showed herself as a benevolent disciple enthusiastic to begin. When I looked back at all these things as well as countless more unspoken of here, I decided that she'd become the one to whom I'd offer a ring. And in anticipation of all the love and unknown that is to come, I'll see her as my one forever. - Peyton
