Portland's living museum of trees. With 12 miles of hiking trails and 2,300 species of trees and shrubs from six continents, this place is a must visit for those who need to escape into nature for a bit. Only about 1/4 mile from the street entrance, the redwood deck makes you feel like you've entered a different realm.

The Grotto

The Grotto is a 62-acre sanctuary located that is home to an internationally-renowned Catholic shrine and botanical garden. It was founded in 1924 by Servite Fr. Ambrose Mayer. It offers visitors beautiful gardens, views, and space for reflection.

This $8 round trip sky tram offers some of the best views of Portland and the surrounding area. The tram travels from the South Waterfront (where Clarice and Greg live) to OHSU (where Clarice works). The South Waterfront is the perfect area for a peaceful walk on the Willamette River. Please note, the tram is closed on Sundays and holidays.
