When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will take place on November 7th, 2026 at the Dreams Onyx Resport and Spa where we will be staying! No further travel is required once we arrive at the resort.

What does my payment include?

Answer

Your payment for the all-inclusive travel includes - flights (roundtrip), airport transfers to and from the resort, all meals, drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic), and entertainment at the resort for the entire 7 day stay.

Do I have to pay in full right away?

Answer

No, but to secure your spot, a non-refundable deposit of $300 per guest must be paid to our travel agent, Kelly. The remaining balance can be paid in installments, arranged directly with Kelly, with the final payment due by August 5th, 2026.

How do I book my stay?

Answer

Please contact our travel agent, Kelly Carriere at kcarriere@tpi.ca to book. She will be able to book everything on your behalf, take payment, and answer all questions regarding travel and accomodations.

Can I book the resort myself through somewhere else?

Answer

No, you are required to contact our travel agent in order to be included on the guest list. This is due to private activities that are included in the package.

What travel documents do I need?

Answer

All guests MUST have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months after the date of arrival in the Dominican Republic. You do not need a visa for the Dominican Republic if you have a Canadian passport. Once flight details are confirmed, you must complete an electronic form, or E-ticket, to enter and exit the country. See link below. You must complete this form before boarding your flight. You can present a digital or printed copy of your E-ticket code to customs officials at the airport. https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/

Can I stay shorter than 7 days?

At this time, if you are coming from Winnipeg, the tour operator is only offering flights once a week (Wednesdays).

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Please refer to your invite for listed guest names. If there is no +1 included, we're very sorry, spots are limited for our destination wedding.

Is it an adults-only resort?

Answer

No, but all adults will have access to walk over next door to the adults-only resort 'Breathless Punta Cana Resort and Spa' at no extra cost to use their bars, pools, restaurants, and attend entertainment.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes, this is a family friendly resort! Please refer to your invite to check for your children's names.

I'm flying from outside Canada, can I still book with the travel agent?

Answer

If you are flying from outside Canada, you are responsible for purchasing your own flights separately. Please contact our travel agent, Kelly, to book resort accomodations. Pricing will differ than our listed rates.

What's the dress code?

Answer

The wedding will be beach formal. But please check back to the website for schedule details - we may be planning coordinated outfits for certain days of the week to match the resorts party themes!

Should I bring cash?

Answer

All-inclusive resort staff appreciate cash tips in USD (recommended to bring $1 bills). We also recommend bringing extra cash if you would like to partake in any excursion activities outside the resort.

Do I need travel insurance?

Answer

It is recommended to purchase travel insurance in case of emergencies. Check your benefits first (credit card or employee benefits). Our travel agent, Kelly, will also offer travel insurance closer to final payment date.

Is a check-in luggage included?

Answer

Yes! A personal item, carry-on, and check-in bag is included for each guest.
