Around August of 2022, Jared and Clay met on the "RED" site...IYKYK (LOL) For about seven (7) months, they casually talked with no expectations and never met in person. Then, on 03/25/2023, Clay took a chance and invited Jared to Waffle House, but New Orleans traffic prevented them from meeting there. Instead, they met at the IHOP on the Westbank for breakfast. The sun was shining, the birds chirping, a light breeze was in the air and it was a clear and extremely nice day...NO CAP!!! After about four (4) hours in the parking lot of IHOP talking, laughing and enjoying the simplicity of their rendezvous, they knew!!!! Clay had to go out of town on business for a week; however, they fell asleep on the phone every night. When Clay returned, IHOP was the meeting place again! This time, they ate breakfast, took in a day at the lake, went to a New Orleans Pelicans' NBA game and have never been apart since. They officially started dating 03/25/23, got engaged on 03/25/24 and set the wedding date for 03/25/25. They now encourage you to assist in writing a page in their story on their wedding day (03/22/25)!
