The Lindenwood is holding a few rooms for us - please say "Leathersich-Poston wedding". This is a wonderful B&B, with a small pool and hot tub, lovely breakfast & full bar. Just down the street from The Claremont, and an easy 5 minute walk to downtown SWH.

The Claremont is the jewel of SWH. It was just purchased and renovated - so it's pretty fancy now. It has a killer view, great bar at the boathouse, pool, croquet, spa - it's not at all the old SWH vibe, but it's pretty wonderful!

Harbor View Motel & Cottages

The Harbor View Motel is holding some rooms (w fridges) for us, but there are no cottages available. The motel sits right on the harbor, and is a very short walk from downtown SWH. To reserve a room you have to call, not go online, and please say "Leathersich-Poston wedding" when you call to book.

The Moorings Inn

The Moorings is a classic motel, and maybe a little run down, but the rooms are right on the water and have an amazing view looking right up Somes Sound with views of the mountains . This is in Manset - on the other side of the harbor, so it's only a 5 minute drive from downtown, but not walkable. There are queen and king rooms and cottages - they are all listed on the website along with prices for next year. You can book directly on the website.

Harbor Ridge has 1 and 2 bedroom condo units available for weekly rentals that are either Friday-Friday, Saturday-Saturday or Sunday-Sunday. Perfect for those looking to take a week to enjoy MDI and Acadia National Park! About a mile out of town. They have a tennis court, inside pool, fire pit.

Right downtown & the very first Bed and Breakfast on Mount Desert Island -- Penury Hall has been in continuous operation since 1982! Gretchen the owner is 75... and a character. Call her to reserve 1 of the 2 rooms she has.

Seawall Motel

Absolutely breathtaking view of waves crashing on rocks. This is a classic motel. Nothing fancy, but clean. It is a short drive to town (10 minutes or so). Extremely quiet area, perfect for those who are looking to take in the views or explore the rocks and tide pools, and miss the "hustle" of downtown Southwest Harbor in July.

Next to the Seawall Motel there are 3 really nice condos available for rent. Two of them are two bedrooms, one of them is a three bedroom. These are brand new, beautifully decorated, and have KILLER views. But... they only rent for the week - Saturday to Saturday. (So that's not ideal, since we want you to stay for lobsters on Saturday night.)

Acadia Yurts & Tiny Houses

The Yurts are only available for Saturday-Saturday rentals. Perfect for those guests who want to spend a week on Mount Desert Island exploring Acadia National Park, and scoot out on Saturday. There are also two "tiny houses" available for 3 night minimum-stays. This property is not walkable to downtown SWH (although Clare & Les would tell you otherwise -- but it's about 2 miles.)
