FAQs

Question

What is due by July 2, 2026?

Answer

By July 2nd, please let us know, to the best of your ability, whether you will be attending our wedding. Then, navigate to the Travel section of this website, where you'll be directed to our booking website. There, you'll find a list of next steps. Please complete the initial form in Step 1 and keep an eye on your email for a message from Samantha Shawhan, our destination wedding planner, with additional information and booking details.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, all guests traveling to Mexico will need a valid passport. We recommend starting your application or renewal process early to ensure your passport arrives in time. If it hasn't come yet, don't worry! You can still RSVP and begin your room booking.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We're delighted to have reserved a room block at Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort for our guests. We hope you'll join us there!

Question

What are the room block dates?

Answer

Our room block is available from May 9–14, 2027. You're welcome to stay for any 3, 4, or all 5 nights during this period at our special room block rate.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding (May 11, 2027). This gives you plenty of time to account for any travel delays and settle in comfortably.

Question

How do I book my room?

Answer

Visit the TRAVEL page on this website and click the VIEW link. This will direct you to our travel booking portal, where you'll find all the information needed to reserve your accommodations. Begin with the initial form in Step 1, which allows you to share your preferences with our travel planner, Samantha. She'll follow up with you shortly to guide you through the remaining steps. Please complete and submit this form by July 2, 2026.

Question

What are my flight options?

Answer

Our travel planner, Samantha Shawhan, can arrange your flights for you or you can book them independently. We recommend flying into Cancun International Airport, which is just a 45-minute drive from the resort. Transportation from the airport to the resort is included with your stay.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding.

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, go to the RSVP page on this website. Please submit your RSVP by July 2, 2026 so we can plan accordingly!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We invite you to dress in beach semi-formal attire for the celebration. Women are welcome to wear midi or maxi dresses in beachy colors and flowing fabrics, paired with practical footwear. Men, we suggest light fabric dress pants and a button-up shirt. The tie is entirely optional. Don't forget to bring sunglasses to complete your look.

Question

What if I can’t make it to the wedding? Will there be another chance to celebrate with you?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ll also be holding a larger home reception in June 2027 and we would love to celebrate with those who can’t attend the wedding. More information and invitations will be shared separately as the date approaches.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

No, we will not be creating a wedding registry. Your presence and congratulations is more than enough. We are excited to celebrate with everyone!
