We're Getting Married!

Our story began at Rise Up, a Catholic conference in Ottawa over New Year’s 2023. In the midst of hundreds of people, our paths crossed- a moment that neither of us could have planned, yet one we will never forget. In a crowded room full of people, Michael somehow spotted Clare in the crowd, and with a smile and just enough courage, came over to introduce himself. When the conference ended, we returned home, Michael to Alberta and Clare to Ontario, carrying with us the memory and excitement of those few special days. Just weeks later, we began dating, and for months we bridged the miles between provinces, visiting one another, meeting each other’s families, and building a love rooted in faith and trust. In August 2025, while on a family vacation in British Columbia, Michael asked Clare to be his wife. She said yes - the easiest and most joy-filled yes of her life. Soon after, Clare moved to Alberta, ready to begin their next chapter side by side. From the very beginning, our relationship has been a reflection of our shared faith, a reminder that even when things get hard, that God’s timing is always perfect. We’re so grateful for the journey that brought us here and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most.
