We met at a friends super bowl party and didn't think much of it. A few weeks later, and after many friends urging both of us, we decided to go on a date. Our first date, it just clicked. The conversation flowed with shared interest and an undeniable connection. From here we both knew this could be something special.

After months of trying to plan the perfect proposal, Micah had told me that we were going to enjoy some drinks with his coworkers one Friday evening at Rising Silo Brewery. When we arrived, at Heritage Community Park (across from Rising Silo) he took my hand and started leading me down the trail towards a pond. Micah and his friends had set up such a romantic scene near the water, I looked over and he was down on one knee. We were both in tears as he asked me to marry him, which is when I shouted, "YES!" Our family and friends threw us a surprise engagement party later that evening. It was the perfect way to cap off the best day in both of our lives.
