Widman's is a well known candy shop- they are known for their chocolate covered potato chips called Chippers. Highly recommend!
August is beautiful here in Forks- the Greenway has miles of paved trail if you want to get some steps in and break a sweat! There are some awesome views of the Red River and a chance to walk over a bridge and be in Minnesota!
Fried Pickles. That's all we need to say.
We got engaged in the skyway by Sky's :) Sky's has some great food and drinks if you are looking for a more upscale spot in town.
This is a beautiful little arm museum on UND campus, close by to where we will be getting married.
For our friends and family with kiddos, the CanadInn has a nice little water park. There is also an outdoor pool with some slides and fountains at Elks Pool- 1002 13th Ave S.
Sertoma Park is a pretty spot to hang out on a nice day. There are Japanese Gardens and a nice park for the kids.
You can rent kayaks and stand up paddle boards here to take out on the Red River.
Of course we have to throw this in there- The Ralph is a beautiful rink at UND where the infamous Fighting Sioux (now Fighting Hawks) play . It's worth a stop to walk around the concourse, see the Ralph and get some photos!
Downtown Grand Forks is charming and fun to walk around on a nice day. Everything is in walking distance including Urban Stampede (324 Kittson Ave) a coffee shop that Clare worked at for 2 years and Brick and Barley (9 N 3rd St) a bar where Jordan was a bartender when we first met :)
For all our beer lovers- Rhombus has some great beer and awesome food. Rhombus is downtown as well, right across the train tracks from Widman's Candy Shop! Rhombus also has a pizza place right around the corner with a nice rooftop patio. (312 Kittson Ave)
Another downtown gem! This brewery has a fun outdoor patio, games and great beer. The best part- it's dog friendly!!!
If anyone is looking to get their workout in in a major way... go get your butt kicked here. The best spin class you'll ever take!
