Clare and Cade’s story began in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where two nearby campuses—and a little fate—brought them together. Cade, from La Crescent, attended the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, while Clare, from Rochester, studied at Viterbo University. By chance, Cade happened to be best friends with Clare’s college bestie, which led to their first introduction freshman year. Over time, Cade never stopped asking about Clare, and by their junior year, they began spending more time together (his persistence paid off!). Although both Clare and Cade were quiet and reserved, they found a comforting sense of peace in each other’s presence. It wasn’t long before they became inseparable. The last four years have been the best yet, filled with dinner dates, endless laughter, hunting adventures (a learning curve for Clare!), trips to Illinois to visit Cade’s family, raising 12 chickens, and the beautiful blending of friends and loved ones. What started as a sweet college connection turned into a lifelong story, and they can’t wait to start this next chapter together. They are so excited to be surrounded by friends and family on their special day and can't wait to see you in Pepin, WI in August!
