Forget the traditional rehearsal dinner! We are hosting a welcome party for everyone! Please join us for food, drinks, and fun at this amazing space. The P.P.A.A. building was an architectural “unauthorized copy” of the Voysey building in London, England. The building was originally commissioned by the International Organization Of Oddfellows (I.O.O.F.) and was named the Orient Lodge #17 at its completion. The Lodge was used as the I.O.O.F. meeting hall through the first half of the 1900s. There are food options for all: gluten free, vegan, and omnivore. We will be hosting a capped tab for all. We may stay longer after the tab has run out. https://loyallegionpdx.com/

ARRIVE BY 4:30PM! Generally Portland is a lovely 81 degrees and sunny, but please check the weather when you're packing. Both the wedding and reception will be in the same location, outdoors in the Jupiter Hotel's Dream Tent. Google it for some great pictures to get a feeling for the space. Food and drinks will be in a conference room adjacent, and there will be seating inside if the weather gets overly hot to provide AC to anyone who might need it. The space is wheelchair accessible for all parts of the party, with the exception of the main stage.

We'll meet at one of everyone's favorite tourist destinations for amazing pictures and people watching. There are multiple food trucks to cater to everyone's taste and dietary needs, including the famous Pine State Biscuits! The food trucks allow cash and card, but cash is definitely preferred by the vendors. There are lots of things to see at the market and you can definitely plan on great shopping for souvenirs! The area has a paved sidewalk, lawns for sitting, picnic tables for eating, and the college buildings are open for restrooms. We will be outside, so plan your outfit accordingly. Clare will be escorting a group of people from the Jupiter Hotel to the event via the Portland Streetcar. We'll eat then meander and head to the Portland Saturday Market after.

We will go to the Saturday Market for some shopping/tourism/snacks. It's a must-do for any Portland visitor! This market is famous for its handmade items, including crafts, art, and clothing. Most all vendors take credit cards. We highly recommend the shop called Mugwump for purchasing wallets and passport covers. There is often a local poet who will type you out a poem for a few dollars... so fun! We'll shop, grab snacks and people watch. Clare will lead people in riding the MAX line to this event if coming from the PSU Farmer's Market.

After the Saturday Market, we'll be heading to The Pearl District for sightseeing. Clare will lead the team in riding the bus first to the famous Powell's Books. We'll then be hopping to see all the sights and tasting all the things. There are beautiful parks, art galleries, coffee shops, ice cream shops, famous breweries, and amazing food and shopping. Don't forget, Oregon has no sales tax!! We'll likely be snacking all along the way, so there isn't a formal plan to have dinner at a specific spot. There will be plenty of opportunities to eat a full meal or a snack along the way.
