If we are lucky enough to have good weather, the beach is a must! The heat is bearable in the fall, and the water is cool enough to feel refreshing. You may see some clumps of seaweed/junegrass in the water or on the beach, but it won't bite! For your safety, please note the flag color at the beach. Green = calm with little to no waves Yellow = a little choppy, be mindful of the rip currents Red = Stay away from that water past your ankles unless you are surfing or boogie boarding with fins, rip currents are much stronger. Double Red = DON'T
A cute park with beach volleyball and a nice view of the bay. Great when a trip to the bach isn't in the cards, but you still want some time outside with a view.
This is the bakery making our cake! They have delicious, sweet treats and good coffee.
One of our most frequented restaurants. In fact, this is where our families met! Clare's favorites: Boxties, Mussels, and the Irish steak and mushroom pie Jake's favorites: Pretzel, Shepherd's Pie, and their house-made Irish Stout
Pensacola is known as the "city of five flags" as it has been under five different governments. Though it isn't technically the oldest city in America, Pensacola was founded before St. Augustine. Unfortunately, hurricanes hindered consistent habitation. Clare's family has deep roots in Pensacola, and if you find yourself walking around historic downtown, you may discover the Quina House!
A fun spot downtown to grab a sandwich, and their potato salad is delicious!
