Bear Mountain Inn

A limited block of rooms has been reserved for out guests at Bear Mountain Inn. Reservations are taken by phone. For a preferred rate, mention the BOESCH-WALL wedding by March 10th. Additional rooms may be available at the seasonal rate. Round-trip shuttle transportation will be provided between the Inn and The Garrison.

Flight

Traveling by Air

For those flying to New York, any of the NYC airports (LaGuardia, JFK, or Newark) are viable options, as is Westchester/White Plains Airport (HPN). From the airports, we suggest a car rental to reach the venue. An alternative option is traveling by train from Manhattan via Metro-North from Grand Central Station, or via Amtrack from Penn Station. Please note that ride-sharing services are seldom available near the hotel or venue.

Traveling by Train

By Amtrak, the Croton-Harmon or Poughkeepsie stations are closest to Bear Mountain Inn and The Garrison. By Metro-North, Garrison or Peekskill stations are closest. Both will require taxi service to reach the hotel or venue. Please note, ride-sharing services are seldom available in the area.

Train

Traveling by Train from Manhattan (Grand Central)

If you're beginning travel to the hotel from or near Manhattan, the Metro North Railroad can be an alternative option to renting a car. Beginning from Grand Central, take one of the hourly trains to Peekskill. From Peekskill's train station, the Bear Mountain Inn is about a 13 minute drive. Call ahead for a taxi for a ride to the Bear Mountain Inn (taxi info in the next section). Schedules can be found at the link below, or on the Traintime app. The app is easier to navigate and virtual tickets can be purchased on the app, where the conductor will scan in transit. The departing train track can be found on the app (the easiest way) or on boards around grand central. Tickets: peak tickets (trains departing before 10am or from 4-8pm) are $18.25. Off-peak (from 10am to 4pm or all-day on the weekend) are $13.50. Tickets can be purchased at kiosks in Grand Central station, on the Traintime app, or from the conductor on the train via cash or card. If you find yourself on the train without a ticket, don't worry! Conductors walk down the train during transit to collect or sell tickets.

Taxi Information around Bear Mountain Inn

Taxis are often waiting at Metro North stations, and for those arriving by train it is recommended to call ahead. Some taxis take card, but cash is recommended. Peekskill's Metro North station is about 13 minutes away by car. As there are multiple companies, Yelp reviews at the link can help to narrow down a list of contacts close by.
