After a long summer working together at the DeWitt Aquatic Center, Clara made the first move and wondered if Karsen wanted to go on a walk with her after work that day. We walked several times around the nearby park, lost in each other's conversation. After the walk we needed to make the most of the rest of our summer, as she was about to head off to college. Our first year we were apart from each other, until COVID let us spend our days together once again. We followed each other to Iowa State University, Iowa City, and now to St. Paul, where we look forward to whatever the future has to bring.
