The Future Mr. & Mrs. Borba

Talked about by many, brought together by friends, we had heard about each other for years before meeting. It wasn't until a friends' group weekend vacation in Tahoe in September 2017 where we finally met in person. Frank, being the gentleman that he is, immediately asked Clara if he could help her with her bags from her car - and so the courtship began! After months of calls, texts, group get-togethers, and flower deliveries, Frank officially asked Clara to be his girlfriend on March 10, 2018 in the Marin Headlands.

The last weekend of October 2020 proved to be one of the most memorable and meaningful for us. The morning was perfect: the weather was sunny and warm, the vineyard leaves were turning orange, and we were enjoying being in our favorite place - Napa! While driving through the beautiful vineyards of the Silverado Trail, Frank insisted that Clara close her eyes when arriving to our stop, wanting the destination to be the utmost surprise. A one mile drive and a gate entrance later, Clara opened her eyes to see the incredible Quintessa Winery in front of her. As we were greeted by the winery associate, we were then led on a short yet steep climb up to the top of the winery's ridge where we were met with amazing views of Quintessa's vineyards, lake, and rolling hills. From there, no sooner had we arrived to a private glass gazebo overlooking the views was Frank already on his knee, ring in hand, and professing "Will you marry me?". Without a moment of hesitation, Clara said yes, emotions overwhelming them both (Clara with happiness, Frank with happiness AND relief). Frank had not only set up a beautiful proposal setting at the winery, but had hired a photographer to capture our special moments, engraved a bottle of wine, and shared videos of our parents with loving and happy wishes to the newly engaged couple. The rest of the weekend was pure bliss - it was filled with a beautiful dinner in Oakville, a hotel stay in Yountville, and a small friends celebratory brunch at Farmstead in St. Helena the following day. The entire weekend was flawless and beautiful - just like Clara's ring :)

Throughout the course of our relationship, we've both shared our own interests with one another as well as embarked upon new ones together. From traveling, cooking, being active outside, and of course our love of dogs, we've both enhanced each other's lives and have had fun along the way. 4 years worth of memories later, we’ve made a life together in San Francisco, traveled to Europe, Mexico and across the states, shared and grown our love of wine, and introduced 2 furry pups to our family. We lead our relationship with love and respect for one another and cannot wait to tie the knot and turn the page for a new life chapter of marriage.
