Tu eres el amor de mis amores
We met in graduate school. Christian was instantly intrigued by Clara’s background in opera and long legs, while Clara asked Christian for survival tips at the Albany bus depot, clearly unaware of how that question would be interpreted. Our first date was soon after: a whirlwind of art galleries, an unexpected beer raffle win, non-Vegan food, and a kiss on the High Line. Those were the days. Since then, we’ve built a life full of friendship, mutual respect, homecooked meals (ask about our Mapo Tofu recipe by Fuchsia Dunlop), Jeopardy (the only couple not afraid of the 'dreaded' opera category!), softball, and the beach. Over the last few years, we've grown to be part of each other's families and, in December 2024, took the first step in starting our own. On a chilly morning, Christian popped the question, with a little help from our trusty moka pot—which has seen us through many sleepy mornings and somehow became part of the proposal plan. Christian asked 'will you marry me?' and Clara instantly said 'yes.' At least that's how Christian planned it. Regardless of what was said, this wedding is happening, and you lovely people are cordially invited. We’re so thankful and excited to share this moment with you!
