It was my pleasure, and I'm looking forward to having dinner with you again.” Some of the first texts Ben and I sent to each other when we were getting to know each other. Getting to know someone takes time. We have to slow down and spend time with that other person, listen to God carefully. As a personal testimony I give God the Glory in bringing both of us together. I am so thankful how God worked things out. Most of life I had trusted, waited, and prayed for my future spouse. Little did I know how much God was preparing me to meet Ben at the right time- God’s time. This was a process of working and trusting God. Like most people, beginning adulthood carries a lot of pressure from society to meet that someone, fall in love and hope for the best. For a while, at least I felt God was really taking His time. My Fiance and I both grew up differently. As he once said, a country boy meets a city girl. This meant we both had to work hard and trust God to uncover His will for our life. We had to allow the Lord to introduce His will for us at the proper time. Ben and I officially met on May 25, 2023. I get so cheesy telling this story. The day after my birthday. It was less than a month after I graduated Bible College and began to work in ministry. By this time Ben was in California and had been coming to church for about a year. During this time, both Ben and I were already very involved in church. As a staff member I was able to have the same group friends as he did and it allowed us to spend more time with each other.
