Cumberland Island
https://www.cumberlandislandferry.com/st-marys-cumberland-island-ferry/ Cumberland Island is a beautiful day adventure if you will be in town for a few days! You will need to book a ferry to get there, I linked the ferry booking website above and the ferry takes 45 minutes each way so you have to book a departure time and a return time (Do not miss your departure time or you will be stuck there overnight!). You will meet at the St. Marys waterfront to check in and depart. Once you are on cumberland island you can rent bikes or walk. Cumberland has so many beautiful things to offer, some of the things we really enjoyed were the old ruins, the wild horses that roam around the island, and the gorgeous beach. They do have showers out there if you decide to have a beach day!
Fernandina Beach
This is our usual go to beach because its the closest beach and offers a beautiful scenic drive and has a really cute historic downtown area.
Savannah
Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia and has always been one of our favorite places. There is so many historic things to see and things to do. Its just an all around gorgeous place! You can explore the historic buildings, walk the river front, or visit any of the 22 park squares and so much more. Its about an hour and a half drive from our house but if you stay in the brunswick area it's only an hour.
