.....Claire and Michael met as incoming graduate students at Syracuse University. Mike had received his Bachelor's at SU, and Claire had received hers at Ithaca College. They met at TA (teaching assistant) orientation in August of 2013 before the school year started. That same school year, they enrolled in an elective class that included an abroad trip to Brazil and started to chat. Little did they know that four years later they'd be engaged to each other! Fast forward to the following school year, Claire and Mike would bump into each other sometimes in Crouse, SU's music building, chatting and connecting on similar interests. Claire had a feeling Mike liked her....which was confirmed by her and many of her friends when he showed up to her graduate recital that January (way to make it obvious, Mike!) That February (2015), Claire asked Mike if they could go get coffee sometime, and the rest is really history!

Claire and Mike traveled to London, UK in April of 2019 for a trip to visit a beloved friend (Sarah McCabe) and some extended family of Claire's that she had never met in person. Mike proposed to Claire on Primrose Hill in London overlooking the skyline. Unbeknownst to Claire, Mike and Sarah had been in cahoots planning the whole thing. The day was filled with merriment as they travelled to Abbey Road, afternoon tea, and a beautiful engagement dinner later in the evening. It was the perfect day! Claire and Mike live happily in New York Mills, NY (just outside of Utica) with three cats, Lucy, Tessa, and Harold, and a Shiba Inu named Mako. They are excited for this next step in their journey of forever and are looking forward to you being a part of their special day! Much love, Claire & Michael
