If you need a day away, this place is beautiful! It's about 45 minutes away from West Shore, but it's in the very populated area of south lake tahoe so if you make the trek down there, there's a lot to do!
Emerald Bay

One of the most scenic areas of lake Tahoe. It's a windy drive to get there, but there are lots of beautiful hikes around here.
Eagle Rock Hike

This hike is within 0.5 miles of West Shore Cafe and is very doable and has incredible views!
