Schedule
5:30 PM - Kabbalat Panim (Welcoming the Bride and Groom)
This part of the wedding is similar to a cocktail hour.
On the bride’s side, she’ll be seated, greeted by guests and receiving warm blessings and good wishes.
On the groom’s side, there’s a more boisterous vibe, friends sing and the Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) is signed.
Feel free to visit the bride’s side to say hello and offer blessings. The groom’s area is traditionally just for men.
6:30 PM - Chuppah (Wedding Ceremony)
The wedding ceremony takes place under a chuppah, a simple canopy symbolizing the couple’s future home.
What to Expect:
Circling: The bride circles the groom (7 times), a symbol of building a life and creating space for one another.
Ketubah Reading: The marriage contract is read.
Seven Blessings
Breaking of the Glass: The ceremony ends with the groom breaking a glass, a reminder that even at our happiest moments, we remember the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.
7:30 PM - Reception & Dancing
