Flight
If you are coming from Calgary: -West Jet has a direct flight Calgary-Comox - then you will have to drive to Campbell River (approx 40 minutes) then take the Campbell River-Quadra Island ferry. Please visit this website for ferry times: https://www.bcferries.com/schedules/northern/crqi-current.php Air Canada is not a direct flight you will have to fly to Vancouver then to Comox or Campbell River. They have shuttle services from the Campbell River airport to the Campbell River ferry if you do not want to rent a car. If you fly to Comox you will have to rent a car. International Travellers: -The best option is to fly to Vancouver then catch a flight to either Campbell River or Comox. Then rent a car once you're there. **Keep in mind it is still about 5 hours of travel from Vancouver to Quadra Island with ferries.
Travel Note
If you plan to drive you will need to take a ferry from Vancouver-Nanaimo. I highly recommend you book this ferry in advance. It costs $10.00 to book and this will go towards your overall cost of the ferry. If you miss a ferry it is a very long wait. There are two terminals to get to Nanaimo. The first one is Horshoe bay which will take you through Vancouver so you might hit a lot of traffic. Here is the link: https://www.bcferries.com/schedules/mainland/hbna-current.php The other one is Tswassan which will take you around Vancouver: https://www.bcferries.com/schedules/mainland/tsdp-current.php Both these ferries are around 1.5-2hours depending if you get the speedy one. Once you dock in Nanaimo you will drive to Campbell River ( 1.5 hours) and catch the ferry to Quadra Island. https://www.bcferries.com/schedules/northern/crqi-current.php This is only a 10-minute ferry.
