Is there a better route when traveling to the venue?

Answer

We recommend all guests route their drive through Covington, VA when traveling to the venue. While it may add just a few extra minutes, it’s a much smoother, safer drive, especially compared to the windier mountain roads from other directions. Be sure to adjust your GPS or map settings to avoid backroads and route through Covington for the most comfortable trip.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie Optional. Suits or tuxedos are both welcome for men, and long gowns or cocktail dresses are perfect for women. You don’t have to stick to black , we’d love to see colorful looks, especially for our August celebration! Think festive, elegant, and summer-appropriate.

Will there be transportation to the welcome party?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided for all guests staying at The Homestead and Vine Cottage Inn to and from the welcome party. Please note that parking is limited, so we encourage guests to take advantage of the shuttle service. The shuttle will depart from the front of The Homestead at 7:45 PM. Vine Cottage Inn shuttle will depart at 7:45 PM. Return shuttle service will be available throughout the evening.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The music begins at 5:00 PM, and the ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM. We kindly ask that you arrive a bit early to find your seat and settle in before the celebration begins.

Will there be transportation to the wedding?

For our guests staying at The Vine Cottage Inn, shuttle service will begin with pickup at 4:30 PM. Continuous transportation will be available throughout the evening, with the final shuttle departing The Homestead at 12:30 AM.
