FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we have listed here, please reach out to Claire at 518-791-5847 or Sam at 715-338-8551. Thank you!
Question

Can I RSVP?

Answer

If you received an invite from us, you can now RSVP! RSVPing early helps us with planning, so we’d appreciate your response as soon as you’re able. If we don’t hear from you by June 1, 2026, we’ll assume you’re unable to attend and mark your RSVP as ‘no.’

Question

Are plus-ones allowed?

Answer

We’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation, and unfortunately can’t allow additional plus-ones beyond those already allocated. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Claire or Sam!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes! We would be honored to have your whole family join us for our wedding celebration. For planning purposes, please make sure to RSVP for each child attending. We’ll also have kid-friendly activities to help keep the little ones entertained!

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will take place outdoors at the Truhler family home. We’ll have tents available in case of inclement weather, but please be prepared for outdoor conditions. Expect to walk on grass, gravel, and pavement, and we recommend dressing accordingly and bringing layers to stay comfortable throughout the afternoon and evening.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be completely outdoors. Please plan your attire with that in mind. That being said, wear something that looks nice, that you feel comfortable in, and that you are happy to be professionally photographed wearing. Pictures taken here could lead to your next profile picture, Christmas card, or your perfect picture on Hinge that leads to us eventually coming to your wedding. For any questions please feel free to contact Claire or (preferably) Sam. I’m willing to offer advice and critiques on up to 3 different outfit choices. Here are some ideas if you need them: For our fem folks, think dresses, jumpsuits, or nice separates. Since everything’s happening outside, we recommend comfortable shoes. Choose block heels, boots, or flats over heels. It might get chilly as the sun goes down, so bring a jacket or sweater to stay cozy. For our masc folks think nice pants and shoes, long sleeve button up, maybe a sweater or a blazer. Make sure you have layers. No need for a tie unless you’re excited about it. At the end of the day, people have more fun when they’re comfy and that’s what we’re hoping for our wedding!

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking available in the lower field. Please note that you’ll need to walk across grass and gravel to reach the front yard, so plan your footwear accordingly. For anyone who may need assistance, we’ll have golf cart rides available from the parking area to the main event space.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We'd love for you to join us for a social hour beginning at 3:30 PM, followed by our ceremony, dinner, and festivities.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Nope. :) As stated elsewhere, we will be having a dry wedding. This is primarily* for personal reasons. Alcohol is no longer a part of our lives and we would like to celebrate our relationship and love together without it as well. Don’t worry, we will have plenty of fluids and merriment without needing any booze. I know you are all wild and crazy enough sober. *it also means we don’t have to get a permit, worry about insurance, or worry about folks getting home safely, etc.

Question

Will you be reserving a hotel block for people coming out of town?

Answer

Although we have not reserved a hotel block, we have provided some suggestions for local hotels under the travel section on this site.

Question

What food will be served? What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have a barbeque buffet for dinner. Sam is lactose intolerant and Claire has some texture issues (and hates onions). So we understand all those with dietary restrictions and preferences. We will try to do our best to ensure that there are a variety of foods that everyone can enjoy. We understand that for safety and health reasons there may be some that need to bring their own food from home. We are absolutely willing to work with you. We just ask that you connect ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Nobody has fun when they’re hungry, and fun is our main goal for the night! Please indicate if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
