Claire first met Rourke freshman year when she and his sister, Madison, went to visit him at University of Miami of Ohio. At the time, nothing came of it — she was simply his sister’s roommate and friend. Four years later, Claire, Madison, Debra, and Marla went for a trip to New York City, where Rourke met them for dinner. That night felt different from the last time they had seen each other three years before — and not long after, their story truly began. Through Rourke’s hockey career, they’ve shared adventures in upstate New York, Macon, Charleston, and even France, creating unforgettable memories along the way — especially during their time abroad. Now settled in Charleston they are so grateful their journey led them to their new home and to forever together.
