We first met in summer of 2013 in the magical town of Isla Vista, CA, while both attending UC Santa Barbara. We were introduced through mutual friends who were in the Ski & Snowboard Club, which Claire was naturally a member of. We took to each other pretty immediately, and spent a lot of that school year hanging out together at the beach, on oceanside decks with drinks in hand and, believe it or not, at the library. Following that year, Parker was slated to move overseas to Sweden to play hockey, and we spent the next year dating long distance quite literally on opposite sides of the world from each other. Over a couple trips to Sweden and Vail throughout that year, we spent days on end together, and it became pretty clear that we were going to be inseparable from then on out. Ultimately we both settled down together back in Santa Barbara, as Claire finished up her (multiple) degrees, and Parker started a career in tech. By 2019, we had moved into a beach house that was the size of a walk-in closet. Shortly after, we brought home our dog Leon that was, conversely, the size of a small horse. Fast forward to 2021 on the island of Oahu on a hike in the pouring rain, Parker proposed. And the rest is history as they say. We can’t wait to share the next step in our journey together, and celebrate at the wedding with you in Vail this summer!
