Maid of Honor
Tommi Poe is the Maid of Honor and a super fan of FaceTimes to make the distance between Chicago and DC feel a little smaller. Critics say Claire and Tommi’s rendition of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart is a “once in a lifetime performance…mostly because no one wants to witness that kind of a train wreck twice”. Those closest to her describe her as “a Harry Styles enthusiast”, “a dedicated dog mom”, and “one of those people that got too into plants in 2020”.
Best Man
Patrick is Claire’s younger brother. Born 20 months after Claire, he was her first best friend. They have many shared memories of swimming on the RCC swim team and having late night shindigs in the backyard with many of the wedding guests. Patrick has waited all his life to have a big brother and is honored beyond words to stand next to Oliver and be his best man.
Bridesmaid
Ana Garduno is the law school bestie. She and Claire met before the pandemic during their first semester, where many onlookers wondered how they finished the readings if they were always gabbing in the student lounge. When she’s not hunched over a laptop she can be found resuscitating her plants, searching for Chicago’s best croissant, and playing fetch at the park with her partner and Frankie the dog.
Groomsman
Matt is a varsity athlete at brother rice high school. Matt is Claire’s youngest brother. He will likely be living out of state next august but looks forward to coming home for an outstanding party. Matt also enjoys siding with the groom during arguments.
Bridesmaid
Erin met Claire in Mother McAuley’s A Cappella Choir, and takes her role as the “token high school friend” of the bridesmaids very seriously. Friends would describe her as “calm, collected, and a little scary,” and clients would describe her as “the best dog sitter this side of the Mississippi.” Claire and Oliver would definitely describe her as “the best person to live in their basement for two months.”
Groomsperson
Alina Krollenbrock is Oliver's favorite sister. She is a graduate student at Oregon Health and Science University where she designs and tests new medicines for malaria. During her time at OHSU she helped to unionize the graduate students and served as the union's first president. She lives in Portland Oregon with her wife Ashley, daughter Everett, son Marcus, and too many dogs, cats, and chickens.
Bridesmaid
Adele is the shortest of the bridesmaids and lived across the hall freshman year from Claire. She celebrated the first day of Claire and Oliver’s relationship at a Hillary Clinton rally. An ice cream enthusiast, she is most likely to request Dessert by Dawin at the reception. Described by friends as ‘a good person to vent about politics and patriarchy,’ the ‘most likely to have a photo of a random dog’ and as a ‘foodie with IBS,’ Adele cannot wait to celebrate what she describes as ‘quite literally the best day ever’ with everyone!!
Groomsman
Peter (pictured on the right) lives in Louisville, KY with his fiancee Colleen, a cat and a dog (pictured on the left). He is a hopeless board game addict and recovering theatre worker. Oliver & Peter met working at the same theatre in Kentucky but became truly close friends after many great board game nights. (Especially one wherein Colleen savagely roasted Peter for about 30 minutes and Oliver couldn’t stop laughing). Peter also gave Claire & Oliver their first shots of Malort ever ensuring they were all true Chicagoans. Peter is so excited and honored to be part of this wedding.
Bridesmaid
Sarah Valek is a bridesmaid and fellow lifelong Beverly resident (though it took moving all the way down to STL for her and Claire to actually meet). Sources have previously said that she is “a pleasure to have in class”, “an anxiety-ridden, true crime-loving contradiction”, and “oddly intimidating for 5’3”. She is overjoyed to be a part of Claire and Oliver’s big day, and grateful they continue to let her be a third wheel on this large of a scale.
Groomsman
Will Thompson grew up in Beverly and befriended Claire in preschool. These old friends like to catch up over (several) drinks in Claire & Oliver’s backyard. Oliver and Claire even threw him a surprise ceremony when he graduated during the pandemic. Will is looking forward to “one of the greatest weddings the South Side will ever see.”
Officiant
Lexi is a “Yes Girl” who will make any excuse to see her friends. She’s the mom friend who will make sure that you grab your coat and puts extra snacks in her purse for a night on the town. She is your point of contact when you need a beer recommendation. P.S. Sorry Oliver, but Claire was Lexi’s wife first, as they shared a freshman dorm room.
Flower Girl
Everett Krollenbrock is Oliver's favorite niece. She is two years old and loves to make cookies and play in the water. Her favorite things are animals and cheese.
Flower Girl
Abigail is eight years old and is known as our “Warrior Princess”. She has been battling brain cancer since she was 11 months old but has never let it get her down. She is incredibly intelligent and can have conversations well beyond her years. She loves her “babies”, putting on makeup and painting fingernails on anyone who will let her. She also loves crafts, telling scary stories and dancing.
Ring Bearer
Noah is a ten-year-old boy that loves playing on his Nintendo Switch. He has an incredible imagination. He likes to think of himself as a mad scientist and loves taking electronic things apart to see how they work. He usually doesn’t know how to put them back together, but he has fun trying. He is actively involved in Cub Scouts and loves camping with his dad.
