The ceremony and reception will be held at the Fox Theatre. The Fox Theatre is a popular performing arts center in the heart of Atlanta. The Theatre was initially built in the 1920's as a Shrine Temple and has an interesting mix of Moorish design and Egyptian architecture. The project exceeded the Shriner's budget, causing them to lease the auditorium to movie mogul William Fox. Soon after, the mortgage was foreclosed on, and theater giants bought the complex. In the 1940s, the Fox became one of the finest theaters in Atlanta, and the Egyptian Ballroom within the Fox became Atlanta's most popular public dance hall. Though the Fox Theatre faced decline in the 1970's that called for demolition, proponents of the theater fought for it to become a National Historic Landmark. Since then, the Fox has hosted over half a million visitors each year and holds popular broadway plays and performances by cultural icons.
