What should i wear?

Answer

ALL BLACK! Black and White are the wedding colors, so we would love for you to be a part of that! Please do not let this be a stressful thing! Women, you can wear anything you like--from a romper to a floor length dress. As long as you are comfortable and can dance in it, it will work! Men, if you can wear all black, that is preferred, but white dress shirts are acceptable. So as Henry Ford would say, “You can wear any color as long as it’s black!”

Where are you registered?

Answer

Our primary registry is through Zola, so all you have to do is visit the Registry page. We also registered with Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Amazon! You can find the direct links at the bottom of our Registry Page!

Where Should We Stay?

Answer

Hotel Blocks can be found on the Travel page. Overland Park and Kansas City are near by, so if you prefer another hotel or an Air B&B, something in those areas will be great. Please let us know if you have questions!

Is there stuff to do in the city?

Absolutely!! The Kansas City area is beautiful, with fantastic shopping, great food, and fun outings. Please see our Things to Do page for great options.

Can I Take Photos and Videos?

Answer

Our ceremony will be UNPLUGGED We have hired amazing photographers and videographers to capture every moment of our special day. We kindly ask that you let them do their job during the ceremony, allowing you to be present and enjoy our ceremony. There will be plenty of time to take photos, selfies, and videos during the rest of the evening.

Will There Be Line Dancing?

So... Why Kansas?

Answer

Claire's family, on Richard's side, has a large hog farm in Drexel, Missouri, less than an hour south of Kansas City. Claire grew up going out to the farm when possible, and because the family has been in the area for a couple of generations, it is a special place to the family and the two of us. We are so excited to get married there!
