The wedding and reception will both take place at The Daughters of the American Revolution (The DAR) at 1778 D St. NW Washington, DC 20006.
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. The venue is open to the public before the ceremony and is home to a museum. Feel free to arrive early to explore the exhibits.
The dress code is Black Tie Optional. Men can wear a dark suit or opt to wear a tuxedo. Women can choose either a formal evening gown, a shorter cocktail dress, or dressy separates.
Out of concern for the safety of our guests, we’re requiring everyone attending to be fully vaccinated, as well as to provide proof of a negative COVID test within 24 hours before the wedding. We understand that it’s a complex topic with a lot of nuance. We’d love for you to attend our wedding but unfortunately we can’t budge on this and understand if you are unable to attend due to this requirement. If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, please reach out to us. Proof of vaccination can be uploaded with your RSVP. If you do not feel comfortable uploading the documentation, please bring your vaccine card and it will be checked at the door.
If weather permits, the ceremony will be held outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will both be held indoors.
We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Uber/Lyft are great options for those who don’t, as our hotel blocks are less than one mile away from the venue. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.
