Be sure to consider all three airports when flying in. If you rent a car you will have a bridge toll in you fly into Oakland.
Train
Depending on what you have planned for your stay, there is a Caltrain station in downtown Redwood City and it goes north to San Francisco (near last stop is near Oracle Park) and south to downtown San Jose.
