The ceremony starts with the Baraat or Groom's parade followed by the Milni where the families will be formally introduced and exchange garlands. Finally, we will commence with the Jaimala where the Bride and Groom will exchange garlands and signify the start of the wedding rituals. Groom's side will convene in the parking lot of Eisenhower house while the Bride's side will convene at the side porch of Eisenhower house. Parking is provided at the venue. We also recommend scheduling ubers for 5:15pm for a timely arrival.
6:45 pm - 11:00 pm
For women, this is your time to shine! We welcome you to wear sarees, lehengas, or kurtas in any color that suits you. No color is off limits. You are also welcome to wear bright, colorful, western cocktail attire. For men, traditional kurtas or suits are welcome.
We recommend scheduling an uber or calling a cab for 11pm to confirm your ride home. We will have a list of cab companies available on Friday but please feel free to also try Orange Cab at (401) 841-0030. Henna will be available at the event. For women, floral, garden party dresses, elegant and long cocktail dresses, and traditional Indian attire welcome. For men, suits and traditional kurtas are welcome. Buses will be waiting outside the venue at the end of the evening with signs indicating their final destination.
