Travel Note
Vieques is a very small island, clustered around two towns: Isabel Segunda and Esperanza. You'll ideally want to find lodging in Esperanza. It is close to the wedding venue, and is in the 'tourist' part of the island where the best bars & restaurants are. Click on the link below for available AirBNBs in Esperanza during the wedding weekend. NB - San Juan International has an airport hotel. We typically take a flight that has us arrive at SJU in the evening. We then stay at the hotel airport, and then catch the morning flight to Vieques.
Travel Note
You have two basic options: rent a Jeep, or rent a golf card. They used to let you rent mopeds, but stopped after too many people (including Josh!) wrecked them. Golf Carts are honestly more fun, but they are slower and don't have AC. Choose your comfort level! NB - there are no ride-share services on the island, and taxis can be limited and pricey. Helpful tip: carpooling will help cut costs and make sure there are plenty of rental cars for everyone on the island! The island (and Esperanza in specific) is very walkable, so sharing car rentals is a very do'able option on Vieques.
