FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This is a kid-free event (21+), so we hope you can enjoy the night off and celebrate with us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at a beautiful, historic farm that reminds us of our time in Tuscany. Fall evenings in North Carolina can be cool, so we recommend semi-formal attire that’s both stylish and seasonally comfortable. Much of the celebration will take place outdoors, so we suggest footwear suited for grass and uneven terrain and a light layer for warmth as the night cools. Suggested attire: Dress pants or slacks with a button-up shirt or blouse Midi or maxi dresses, cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits Suit jackets and blazers recommended but not required; ties optional Jackets, wraps, or sweaters encouraged

Question

Does my invitation include a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones are only included if your invitation envelope is addressed to "and Guest". This will also show during the RSVP. We tried to include people's significant others but please reach if you think we left someone out or have any questions about who is invited.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You are welcome to arrive as early as 3:30 for mingling, drinks, and snacks. The ceremony will start right at 4:00.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, more information about the parking to come.

Question

Why did you choose CASA as part of your wedding fund?

Answer

We love living in Durham — it’s where we met and built the life we share now. But like a lot of growing cities, Durham is facing a big challenge: safe, affordable housing is out of reach for too many of our neighbors. CASA is a local nonprofit that’s working to change that. They provide permanent, affordable housing for families, veterans, people with disabilities, and others who are often priced out of the market. More than just housing, they help create stability, dignity, and opportunity. By giving half of this fund to CASA, we’re giving back to a community that’s given so much to us. Thank you for being part of this next chapter with us. Learn More: www.casanc.org
