Maid of Honor
Bekah and I met in middle school but got closer over the years in High School. We bonded over a love for mimosas, monograms, and experiencing new things. We watched countless hours of Gossip Girl together and had to figure out many life skills in the moment- especially when it came to our cars breaking down. We love to travel together and spend evenings playing competitive card games. Bekah has been my photographer for all of life's big moments so far, two graduations, couple pictures, engagement pictures, bridal pictures, working as Katniss, and everything in between.
Best Woman
Nikki and I met in college through Delta Zeta Sorority. Nikki became my G-little (my little's little.) We lived together for a year in college until I graduated and moved to Charlotte. When Nikki graduated she moved to Charleston but quickly changed her mind and came to live in Charlotte with me. Nikki and I have bonded over our music taste, reading taste, taste buds, and love for a good aesthetic. We both love to plan themed parties and group trips.
Bridesmaid
Mikayla and I met Freshman year of college when we lived on the 2nd floor of Doughton. We were roomates for the next 3 years and Mikayla became Aby's second mom. Mikayla and I bonded over our shared binge watching habits, love language (gifts), and ability to just wing it when it comes to adulting. SVU and HGTV were always on in the background of our apartment and every Christmas we always went all out with the decorations. Mikayla lives in Spain now but we still send each other 20 minute long snapchat videos everyday to keep each other up to date on life.
Bridesmaid
Kaitlin and I met when Kaitlin was going through sorority recruitment in college. We had a whole conversation about cats and sweet tea. Once she joined DZ I knew I needed her as my little. We bonded over not only cats but our love for dancing, musicals, and southern ways of life. Kaitlin is the fearless one and is always willing to do what needs to be done with confidence. Like that time she drove us all down a Boone mountain covered in 3 feet of snow because we wanted comeback shack.
Bridesmaid
Megan and I have known each other since I was 3 months old and Megan 4 months old. We grew up in church together going to Sunday School, Wednesday night suppers, and singing in the choir together. After moving to Hickory we kept in touch and still hung out all the time. When I moved back to Boone for college she let me use her washing machine for a year while I lived in the dorms. We even worked together in the very church nursery we grew up in. Megan was the one to introduce me to all things Disney and be my High School Musical duet partner. (Megan always got to be the girl.) Megan brought me to Disney multiple times as a child and taught me all of the behind the scenes of Disney magic.
Bridesmaid
Beth and I met shortly after Beth moved from Ohio to Charlotte. Beth started working as my assistant teacher before moving on to lead her own classroom. Beth has seen every version of Ms. Claire out there. She was my steady rock through running my first toddler classroom. We can always be found talking about our kids (even though we don't teach anymore) or dealing with car problems.
Best Man
We met working at Geek Squad together and quickly became friends. We bonded over shared music interests and outside of work hobbies. We spent many summer weekends together out on the town galavanting.
Groomsman
Kaleb and I met in middle school gym class. We bonded over a Lord of the Rings video game and became basically inseparable all the way through high school. We spent many nights staying up all night playing video games.
Groomsman
Matt and I met in middle school and we got closer in high school. He was older so he was the first one with a car so he drove us around everywhere in his drop top mustang. We used to make fun of him all the time for it. He had a deep love for Smirnoff ice so we called him Matty ice.
Groomsman
Chris and I met through mutual friends in college but we became close when we both moved to Charlotte. He was also out galavanting with Marvin and I. We spent many a night sitting around the dining room table after a night of drinking talking about the intricacies of life.
Groomsman
David and I met through a mutual friend. We got close through jam sessions and chilling out drinking beers. David and I have very similar humor and can always find a way to make each laugh.
Groomsman
Brett and I met through Chris. When I first met Brett we went to the gym and after he would always cook a delicious meal for the two of us. Brett is always there to give a reasonable response to a complicated problem.
Flower Man/ Bubble boy
We met Blake at the Renaissance fair with mutual friends and were very impressed with his acting skills and ability to immerse himself in a role. This made him the perfect hype man and bubble boy for our wedding day.
