All Great Love Stories Begin on Tinder

Claire's Perspective: I don't remember swiping right but I remember him messaging me and being glad I had. We chatted a lot over the app until he "needed my number because the app was messing with his phone (yeah, right)." I--- after a few very large and inexpensive glasses of wine at Hammerstones with Paije--- texted him to tell him he needed to ask me out on Tuesday, because I was headed out of town for work on Wednesday. He did just that... Our first date was at Wildflower in the Central West End, after I told him the first place he suggested had closed-- it hadn't. (Side bar, I am obviously pretty bossy.) I was on the phone with Katie Durham Barber as I was walking up and when I saw him I remember saying, "Oh! He's cute" before I abruptly hung up on her. I remember him looking at me like nothing else in the world mattered (I know it sounds cheesy but it's true) and I remember thinking that he was the most bright and interesting person I had ever met. (I found out later that he's also the kindest person on the planet). Most importantly..... I remember saying to myself, in the bathroom halfway through our date, "I think I could marry this guy" and well... here we are :). Jeff's Perspective: I messaged Claire asking about her cooking skills as she had her in bio that she was "an award winning chef". After a lot of messaging, Claire and I went out on October 18th, 2016. Afterwards I remember thinking that I just possibly went on my last first date ever, even though later I found out she may have slightly lied to me but I am not allowed to tell that story anymore. The next night my phone rang and it was Claire. I remember thinking that this must have been a butt dial because she was out of town for work and who the hell calls people on the phone these days. It was not an accident and we talked for upwards of 4 hours that night....and the next night....and the next night. In the last 2.5 years, I don't believe we talked on the phone that much combined.

For all the days along the way
