When Isaiah and I first met in downtown Athens at Tweed Recording, where he was working at the time, we instantly recognized a shared sense of humor and playful banter that felt familiar. This immediate connection made the beginning of our relationship feel effortless, offering a comfort we hadn't known before. As we began to intertwine our lives, that sense of peace deepened, and we discovered mutual friends and connections that made it seem as though our paths had been destined to cross all along. From the very beginning we have established ourselves as best friends and confidants and are so excited to continue our journey as a married couple! We love our friends and family and we cannot wait to celebrate what we have found in each other with you all!!
The morning of the proposal I was tasked with wearing a special dress and told I was to be attending a church luncheon to honor the VBS volunteers. After arriving at the gorgeous, marble church that we attend, I was led to the inner intimate courtyard centered by a pavilion where a very nervous Isaiah got down on his knee and asked me to marry him—easiest yes I’ve ever said!
