Maid of Honor
Savannah is Claire's one and only big sister! Savannah and her husband, Tim (who is also a groomsman), have two beautiful kitty children named Luna and Ponyo, and they are expecting a little (human) girl in February. Savannah is quick-witted and sharp-tongued and is never afraid to say what's on her mind; she also has the biggest heart and gentlest soul. Fiercely protective of her baby sister, Savannah has given Greg the seal of approval despite knowing him for many years. 😉
Best Man
Adam and I met shortly after his birth at the hospital and we’ve known each other since. We have a shared interest in gaming, though I must admit he’s way better than I am. Gone sadly are the days where I would be called upon to best a particularly stubborn enemy endangering Princess Zelda and saving the television from controllers hurled in anger. He is fiercely loyal and loves unconditionally, and the depth of his consideration means he gives the best presents. He’s the best, so it seemed only fitting he be my best man and share with me on the best day of my life.
Bridesmaid
Maddy is Claire's oldest friend. They met through showing horses, and after spending a summer in a renovated dog kennel riding feral ponies for a summer without TV or internet when they were 15, Maddy and Claire realized they were long-distance soul mates. Maddy has since moved to LA, met the love of her life, and moved back to the east coast. Although Covid-19 has kept them from visiting one another, every time they speak, it's like they never missed a beat.
Bridesmaid
Once folks are able to pick their jaws off the ground when meeting Yvonne, they quickly realize that she is far more than a beautiful face. Claire met Yvonne through Savannah and her husband. Yvonne is married to Jeremy, one of the groomsmen. After getting to know each other and vacationing in a couple of incredible spots (Turks and Caicos, baby!!), Claire learned that Yvonne is the best friend to have in your corner and the best lady to lift you up when you're down.
Bridesmaid
Bonnie met Greg through her significant other, Matt, who is a groomsman as well. Claire met Bonnie through Greg, and they bonded quickly through their shared love of good food, good wine, and good laughs. Always able to see the better parts of people, Bonnie exudes warmth, kindness, and understanding. She is the mother of three boys, all of whom are wonderful young men. Claire and Greg both love Bonnie to the moon and back and count her as not only a friend but as family.
Bridesmaid
Samantha, Greg's sister, is tirelessly devoted to her family and her friends. Caring and thoughtful, Samantha considers all possible outcomes of any situation, gift, or event in order to maximize the joy shared. Through and through, Samantha always puts the needs of others before her own. She and Claire have bonded over their mutual love of animals, wine, and pasta. The three pillars of any quality relationship, honestly!
Bridesmaid
Fierce and fearless, Katherine is rarely at a loss for words. Her opinions are unyielding, her logic sound, and her resolve unwavering. As Greg's older sister, Katherine has encouraged a strong sense of responsibility, equality, and justice in her brother. She holds steady and true in her beliefs, principles, and relationships- a rare trait Claire holds near and dear to her heart. Katherine is also always able to get a giggle out of Claire- an absolute necessity for a sister and lifelong friend!
Groomsman
Tim, as you might imagine, I met through his brother Jeremy. The youngest and hippest Georghiou, Tim and I became fast friends. Tim is kind, funny, and smart; he’s the whole package. Thankfully, Tim is also married to the amazing Savannah, Claire’s sister, so when I first went over to Claire’s parents house for dinner, Tim was there to keep me from collapsing in a ball of nerves. On top of all the best breweries and restaurants, Tim and Savannah keep me from getting too old too fast, and keep me humble.
Groomsman
Jeremy is another very old friend, who also worked at the neighboring grocery store. A dreamer, a motivator, a pragmatist, Jeremy strives for the best in himself and encourages his friends with that same drive. We would often talk about how we would one day run the world from the top floor of our skyscraper, dueling offices 100 stories up, and we haven’t given up on that dream. With Jeremy’s determination, anything is possible.
Groomsman
Matt is another very old friend, who also worked at the neighboring grocery store (I promise he’s the last one). Matt is hilarious, his deadpan delivery of witticisms never disappoints. He’s quick with a compliment and always up for a good time. His finger on the pulse of great music, he keeps me social and from listening to the same bands I did in high school (mostly). We’ve seen a thousand concerts and I hope we’ll see a thousand more, even if we are the oldest people there.
Groomsman
Jeff and I met a long time ago under circumstances lost to history. Working at competing and neighboring grocery stores we’d often meet up after work and keep our parents worried about whatever mischief we were getting into that day, roaming empty shopping centers to harass the night watchman, talk shop with the Grimbo, a clown we met with tennis-ball shoes, eating breakfast at the McDonalds next door, or going to the bowling alley and not bowling. My oldest and closest friend, roommate and hetero-life-mate.
Groomsman
Bruce and I met at a house party and I found my fellow nerd. Two weeks younger than me (something he doesn’t let me forget), we both have a deep love for all things technology. We can talk for hours about setting up servers and network routers or the unnecessarily complex configurations we have for our home theaters, fed undoubtedly by our trying to outdo each other. He’s one of the few people I can tell about something cool I did at work who gets why it’s so cool. Generous and caring, I know I can always count on Bruce.
