Our story begins in a land called La Grande. We first met at Grace Bible Church. Claire and her mom were visiting while she was in La Grande for the weekend to interview at Mountain Valley Therapy. When they attended Grace Bible, Claire was introduced to Gage, a member of Grace Bible and a physical therapist at Mountain Valley. Gage secretly hoped that she would be hired! A few months later, Claire moved to La Grande and began working at Mountain Valley. Over the next two years, their friendship grew. They enjoyed hiking, inviting each other over for dinners, watching movies, playing tennis, and attending local events. In the course of time, this friendship grew into deeper appreciation and respect for each other and a desire for a more intimate relationship. They connected over a shared love for Christ and desire to honor Him with their lives. One lunch break, Gage asked Claire if she would be interested in being more than friends. Claire said yes (eventually... about 6 hours later), and so began their formal dating relationship. Their dates included many Bible studies, prayers, tea times, hikes, decent burgers, and unsuccessful fishing adventures. They intentionally discussed essential topics including marriage, family, and ministry, finding that they shared common values. Gage had already won over Claire's family prior to their dating. After visiting Gage's family in Ft. Worth, both were convinced that God was calling them to marriage. A couple weeks later, Gage and Claire went on a trail run on Mt. Emily after work. At the top, overlooking the valley, Gage proposed and Claire said yes! This is the beginning of the story that God has for us. We look forward to celebrating our wedding with you!
