We met on a dating app. HA. Eric and I matched online and he quickly started pursuing me and never stopped. I creeped on him hard and told him I hate texting and snap chatting but if he wanted to take me on a date he could FaceTime me first. He asked what I was doing later and then FaceTimed me from work that evening. The next day he drove 1.5 hours and I drove 30 minutes. We met at a steakhouse and then sat in his car until 3am talking about life, Jesus, and why he was so hard for me to read. We talked on the phone as we both drove home. Two days later he drove to fayetteville to take me on another date. That weekend I drove to Tulsa & the Chiefs won the super bowl so we started dating. Go Chiefs!
This is a hard one. One of us played college football and one of us is an extremely gifted dancer (jokes). You can decide for yourself.
Eric - I was born in Marshall, TX and moved to Cleveland, OK when I was 4 years old. My mom’s side of the family all live in Cleveland so I knew everyone in town. The population of Cleveland is approximately 3,000. (He was basketball and football king his senior year... Maybe because he was the only senior on the basketball team, or maybe because he’s a smoke show - Claire.) I went to Oklahoma Baptist University before transferring to The University of Oklahoma. I now live in Broken Arrow and work for the Tulsa Fire Department. Claire - I grew up in a Liberty, MO (Go BlueJays) and moved to St. Louis for my senior year or High School. I went to the University of Arkansas for college and fell in love with the South. After college I moved a couple times and ultimately that lead me to Eric so I’m very thankful for that. I recently moved to Tulsa and do marketing and sales. I have loved every place I lived and I’m so thankful for the community we’ve already built together in Tulsa.
We enjoy all things outside! We have been camping a couple times and have learned a lot.... to pack water... and that our inflatable kayak isn’t as necessary as we thought. We enjoy spending time with our church family and serve with the youth group. We’ve also done a foster family Christmas with Woodlake and a food outreach and hope to continue to volunteer with our church. We love kids and love spending time with our friends who have kids + doing respite for foster families when we can! During quarantine we did some house projects and we hope to always spend time together working on our future homes. Eric LOVES to host so we are so excited to start hosting people for bonfires, game nights, pickle ball games, spider ball tournaments, and meals. Anything competitive brings us joy. Eric typically wins.
