Cliche or not, right place, right time truly reflects Dylan and Claire’s relationship. It all started on the Grand Valley State University campus turf fields where the two of them were partaking in their first love, soccer. Thanks to She’s The Man, everyone knows that the truest love stories begin on the soccer field. Both being on the executive board for their respective teams allowed for an easy introduction. Following pre-season workouts the true meeting occurred at Splash Bash, the infamous welcome week “darty” (day time- party for those of you out with the lingo). The first interaction went as one typically does on campus, inquiring on where one another was from. Naturally, Claire answered with, “Ann Arbor” (you’d be surprised at how little people have heard of small town Dexter), unknowing that Dylan is actually from Ann Arbor… This sparked a light in Dylan’s eyes that ultimately led to the confession that Claire was really from Dexter. Several laughs came from this conversation, and "Claire from Dexter" would be a constant punchline to this day. After that day, the rest was history. From daily library trips and hangouts at everyone’s favorite place, The 4315, the two of them (and all of their friends) recognized how they were always drawn to each other. Some say that when you see “2 2 2” it is a sign to, “trust your place in life right now and enjoy the moment”, ironically enough 2/22 is when Dylan decided to make it “official” after an amazing date at MadCap Coffee– Further emphasizing their notion of right place right time. The two really were made for each other.

In the last 5 years, Dylan and Claire have experienced a plethora of adventures and milestones together that have only pushed them closer. Surviving quarantine together, college graduations, trips here and there, first jobs, first apartment together, and their biggest accomplishment, adopting Ritz Cracker Furlong from the Huron Valley Humane Society. Claire likes to say, “if training for a marathon while in grad school/working, and adopting Ritz all at the same time didn’t make Dylan go crazy, then I think it safe to say that we are ready to take on the world.” Thank you to anyone and everyone who has rooted for these two and their undeniable love ♡

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate additional guests unless listed on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given.

When should I arrive?

Our ceremony will be starting at 4:30pm, please plan to arrive around 4:00pm to ensure ample time for seating.

You are able to RSVP through our wedding website, right on the homepage or through the tab titled "RSVP"! There will be a few questions to answer upon RSVP'ing, we hope to see you on our special day!
