We're Getting married!

We met through our mutual friend group in Green Lake. D.J. was first friends with Claire's brother John. We actually officially met at Noah's parents house. D.J., Noah, and John were playing video games and Claire tagged along before Allison arrived and we all hung out. Fast forward a couple months to summer while D.J. and other friends would host social gatherings frequently, we started to see each other more often. We exchanged several flirty interactions but the timing never led to anything more, while Claire attended college at Marquette. However, once Claire graduated college and moved back to Green Lake, time was no longer an issue. Then at Noah and Allison's house warming party the flirty interactions became serious interest as the night went on. The first time we hung out together D.J. took Claire to Cousin Subs because he was just taking lunch. Claire insisted she was not hungry but some how ate all of D.J.'s chips. Our desire to be together was solidified on the 4th of July. We all went boating and towards the end Claire started to get sick. She ended up throwing up all over D.J.'s arm. Although nothing at that time was solid, I did not leave her side then and I never plan on it. We have been happily together since, and we cannot wait to spend our wedding with the people we love and care about most.

D.J. knows how much I love Christmas, especially when it comes to picking out a Christmas Tree. We went Christmas Tree shopping with a few friends, and everyone knew what was going to happen except for me. After countless "this is the tree" and psyching D.J. out at least 5 times thinking this would be the moment he was going to propose, I picked "the tree." Right after we were done taking a family picture with our adorable dog Maddie, he popped the question. We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives!
