FAQs

If you have any further questions feel free to reach out to the bride or groom, or send us an email at c.c.volkertwedding@gmail.com!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP by April 27th! If it is beyond that date please RSVP directly to us ASAP but know that we may not be able to accommodate late RSVPs up to a certain point.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, this is a semi-formal event so we encourage our guests to dress in their sunday best! This means cocktail dresses and jumpsuits, dress shirts, ties and slacks. Suits and sportcoats are more than welcome but are not required. The ceremony will be held on grass so please choose appropriate footwear for that event.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered at Zola, Target, and Amazon. However, the best way to shop is through our Zola registry located on this site under the 'Registry' tab.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately we have limited space at both our ceremony and reception. Unless your invitation specifies that you were given a plus one, we will not be able to accomodate extra guests.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we have decided to make our big day an adults-only event. We encourage you to take the opportunity for a fun date night! If you plan on travelling to our venue with children under 16, please reach out, as we are more than happy to coordinate care for them during our events.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony site will open 30 min. before our ceremony. However, the rest of the Allen Centennial Garden will be open all day. We encourage you to arrive early and explore the gardens!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know via your RSVP or directly about your allergy or sensitivity and we will be more than happy to accommodate.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Due to the close proximity of the ceremony and reception hotel, there will not be provided transportation. However, there are lots of parking options available near the ceremony, reception, and many hotels in the downtown area. There are also free city buses that stop near our ceremony, reception hotel, and most hotels downtown. Lastly, it is about a mile walk between The Fluno Center and Allen Centennial gardens. For more information on parking and buses, please see the travel tab of this site.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We highly recommend staying at our reception site, The Fluno Center. We have room blocks here available for the nights of the 26th and 27th with rooms at a discounted rate. Please call 877-773-5866 or 608-441-7117 to make a reservation. You can also visit the travel tab of this site to find the link to book online. Rates: $129/night for a single (2 people) | $139/night for a double (4 people) Please visit the travel tab on this site for other hotel recommendations and feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There are large parking garages in close proximity to both the ceremony and reception. There are also drop off areas if you are transporting other guests with you who may not want to walk from the garage to the entrance. Please see the travel tab of this site for more information or reach out to us directly if you have further questions!
