We’re getting married!

Bud and Claire met at the Newman center in December of 2024 at McNeese one day when Bud was talking to Claire’s friends about wrestling. Claire slid her way into the conversation and asked him to tell her everything about wrestling since her little brother had just gotten into the sport (thank you Bret for giving her a reason to talk to him ;). A few months went by, they started dating, and Bud had noticed Claire’s dr. pepper addiction. He said “you’ve gotta stop drinking so many” to which she responded “it’s okay i drink one everyday”, and suddenly, it all came back to him. Bud then asked Claire if she remembered taking a speech 101 class in the spring of 2023, which she did, and if she remembered a guy knocking over her large fountain dr. pepper, which she did. Turns out, that guy jut so happened to think that girl was pretty, and stretched backwards to spill that drink, just to have the chance to talk to that pretty girl. While cleaning the mess, Bud looked up at Claire and said “wouldn’t this be a crazy way to tell our kids we met?” and Claire was so embarrassed that she chuckled, and never went back to class again. So, thank goodness for Cowboy Catholics for bringing them back together when the time was right for them.
