We met our freshman year of High School in Mrs. Frist's OLC class. We were assigned seats directly next to each other and passed notes all the time but, somehow, never got caught. It didn't take long for us to become friends. We went to football & basketball games together, hung out between classes, and went to each others sporting events. We even went to prom together...but with different dates. It wasn't until our freshman year of college we started dating and the rest is history.

We were on our way home after my (Claire's) company holiday party when Baylor told me we needed to stop at one of the lakes in the city to get a nice photo for his mom for Christmas. We set up a phone with the self-timer on. After a couple of failed attempts with the timer, Baylor suggested turning the video camera on. We posed for the camera and the last pose was Baylor on his knee proposing. I was so surprised I could barely say YES!
