I remember waking up on the Sunday morning departure for our annual ski trip to Mt. Snow. I had early text messages from our friends – “They closed the mountain today for the remainder of the season.” This was Sunday March 15th, the start of what would be a groundbreaking week of school and business closures around the country amidst the growing concerns of the global pandemic. With skis on the roof, car packed, and a diamond in my pocket, we set off to Vermont anyway!

We pulled up on Sunday night to our beautiful Vermont getaway, and I had no plan, until the next morning. "I think we should still go to the mountain!" Supported by my crew, we got out of the car to a deserted resort; a rare sight for March. Propose on snow was the plan, and propose on snow I shall! We were the last of our friends to hop up on the once active chairlift for a picture, and the first to hop off newly engaged!

I love you so much! Thank you for saying yes to a life together filled with unexpected adventure!
